Vivonex® RTF Elemental Diet is ready-to-fee 100% free amino acid formula for tube feeding or oral supplementation. Each 250 mL container (8.45 ounces) provides 250 calories, 2.9 grams of fat, and 12.5 grams of protein. Comes in 250 mL cartons (as shown in image) or ready to hang 1000 mL bags for tube feeding.
This formula is for severely compromised GI (gastrointestinal) patients. Only 10% calories from fat to support tolerance and reduce pancreatic stimulation. It is useful in stressed, catabolic patients. Requires minimal digestive functionality for assimilation while providing benefits associated with continued use of the GI tract.
Appropriate for lactose-intolerance*, gluten-free, low-residue, and kosher. *Not for individuals with galactosemia.
Vivonex® provides nutritional support for: - Severely impaired GI function (severe protein, fat malabsorption, transitional feeding, extensive bowel resection, malabsorption syndrome, select trauma.surgery, early post-operative feeding, intestinal failure, cylothorax, pancreatitis, tropic feeding, TPN alternative, and dual feeding with TPN).
