The Steerable Knee Walker with Steel Frame and 8” casters by Drive Medical is ideal for individuals recovering from foot surgery, breaks, sprains, amputations and ulcers of the foot. It can be steered for increased maneuverability.

The Steerable Knee Walker has a new two-piece padded leg pad to provide superior comfort. The seat is pad is height adjustable from 16.5’ up-to 20.5”.

It has a deluxe braking system hand brake for added safety.

The Steerable Knee Walker is made of a durable steel frame with silver vein finish. Also included is the removable front basket.

Height adjustments can be done tool-free.

How to Use the Steel Framed Steerable Knee Walker:

Placement of injured leg on the bench should be centered side to side and positioned forward to cover the full length of the bench.
With the injured leg on the bench, stand as straight as possible (adjust the height of the knee walker as necessary).
With the injured foot pointing down, the propulsion leg should be maintained as close as possible to the bench.
While pushing on your toes, start out with small steps with the propulsion leg. Concentrate on keeping that leg next to the bench. With practice, you should be able to move forward without deviating to the opposite side.

How to Use the Knee Walker Hand Brake

The knee walkers brake is similar to a bicycle and also has a locking feature.
To use the brake, simply pull the lever with your fingertips towards the handle bar.
To lock the brake, push the brake lever away from the handle bar until it is locked in place.
