Novasource® Renal 2.0 is a nutritionally complete formula that is calorically dense and designed to meet the unique needs of patients with renal disease. The calorically dense, high protein content is specially formulated to provide maximum nutritional value for individuals with impaired renal function who require an electrolyte and volume restricted diet.
Novasource® Renal now contains 21.6 grams of protein per 8 ounce serving. The optimized per-serving levels of potassium and phosphorus, along with no sugar added sucrose or sugar alcohols make it idea for individuals on renal diet or fluid restriction.
Reformulated to more closely meet specific reommendations in the A.S.P.E.N. Clinic Guidelines: Nutritional Support in Acute and Chronic Renal Failure.
Novasource® Renal provides 18% of calories from protein (90.7 g/L). It is has an optimized electrolyte content (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus) to help maintain imbalances.
It is a nutritionally complete formula for tube feeding or oral supplementation.
Appropriate for lactose-intolerance*, gluten-free, low-residue, and kosher.

Novasource® Renal provides nutritional support for chronic kidney disease on dialysis (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), and electrolyte restrictions or fluid restrictions due to AKI or CKD.
