Foam dressings are highly absorbent wound dressings that are available in a range of sizes, composition and absorption. This allows for less frequent changing of the dressing and maceration of surrounding tissue.
Foam dressings can be used as a primary or secondary dressing on a variety of wound types including leg ulcers to cavity wounds where exudate is a problem.
