Calmospetine Ointment is a barrier that helps protect and heal skin irritations caused by incontinence of urine or feces. It is also used to heal and comfort irritation caused by feeding tube leakage, minor burns, scrapes, fecal or vaginal fistulas, wound drainage, diaper rash and moisture such as perspiration.
Calmoseptine Ointment provides long lasting protection from irritation. It als provides temporary relief of discomfort and itching.
Directions: Cleanse skin gently with mild skin cleanser. Pat or air dry. Apply a thin layer of Calmoseptine Ointment to reddened or irritated skin 2-4 times daily, or after each incontinent episode or diaper change to promote comfort, and long lasting protection. (If a Calmoseptine residue remains on irritated skin after gentle cleansing, it is recommended to leave the residue on the skin and apply an additional layer as needed until the skin is healed). Calmoseptine Ointment is easily removed with baby oil or mineral oil when necessary.
Active Ingredients: zinc oxide and menthol
Other Ingredients: thymol, lanolin, sodium bicarbonate, phenol, calamine, chlorothymol and glycerine in a suitable ointment base.
