The 3M Health Care Particulate Respirator Small Mask is NIOSH approved: N95. It is FDA cleared for use as a surgical mask. It is designed to provide respiratory protection for the wearer and meets CDC guidelines for Mycobacterium tuberculosis exposure control.
As a disposable particulate respirator it is intended to help reduce wearer exposure to certain airborne particles including those generated by electrocautery, laser surgery, and other powered instruments. As a surgical mask it is designed to be fluid resistant to splash and spatter of blood and other infectious materials.
3M Small N95 Masks provide >99% BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency) according to ASTM F2101. They are fluid resistant according to ASTM F1862.
The 3M N95 Mask in Small size is a collapse resistant cup shape design. They feature braided headbands, cushioning nose foam, and lightweight construction for wearer comfort. They contain no components made from natural rubber latex.
Suggested settings and applications for these masks include operating rooms, clinics, TB wards, patient care, labor and delivery, infection control practices, laboratory, emergency or pandemic preparedness planning, stockpiling, etc. Other applications for use include grinding, dry chemical handling, petrochemical manufacturing, bagging, airborne biological particles, textile operations, processing of minerals, agricultural production,sanding and foundry operations.
